The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) empanels dental clinics across India to provide healthcare to central government employees, pensioners, and their dependents. There are currently 418 CGHS empanelled dental clinics across 38 cities. CGHS beneficiaries can visit any of these empanelled facilities for cashless or reimbursement-based treatment. CGHS empanelled dental clinics provide preventive and therapeutic dental care including scaling, fillings, root canal treatment, extractions, crowns, bridges, dentures, and orthodontic consultations. Both general dentistry and specialised procedures are covered.
Dental clinics may hold NABH or QCI (Quality Council of India) accreditation. Accredited clinics follow standardised protocols for infection control, patient safety, and treatment quality.
Routine dental check-ups and minor procedures may be available without a referral at CGHS wellness centres. Specialised dental treatments at empanelled clinics typically require a referral from the wellness centre.
