About CGHS Diagnostic Centres
The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) empanels diagnostic centres across India to provide healthcare to central government employees, pensioners, and their dependents. There are currently 266 CGHS empanelled diagnostic centres across 40 cities. CGHS beneficiaries can visit any of these empanelled facilities for cashless or reimbursement-based treatment. CGHS empanelled diagnostic centres offer laboratory tests, imaging services (X-ray, MRI, CT scan, ultrasound), pathology, and other investigative procedures. These centres support the diagnostic needs of CGHS beneficiaries across blood tests, biopsies, cardiac evaluations, and advanced imaging.
Diagnostic centres often carry NABL accreditation, which certifies that their laboratory testing meets national standards for accuracy and reliability. Some centres also hold NABH accreditation for overall quality management.
Diagnostic tests usually require a referral or prescription from a CGHS wellness centre or an empanelled specialist. Results are shared directly with the referring physician and the beneficiary.
