I had an excellent experience at Amla Ayurvedic Hospital, Thrissur, for the treatment of lower back pain and sciatica. The hospital provides exceptional care with a very attentive and caring staff who ensure comfort throughout the treatment journey. A special mention to Mr. Pranav and Mr. Sminish Simon, the highly talented therapists who carried out the therapy with great skill and dedication. Their treatment played a major role in reducing my lower back pain and sciatica significantly. All of this was done under the expert guidance of Dr. S. Jayadeep, BAMS., MD Ayur - (35 years of experience) whose diagnosis and treatment plan were precise and effective. I truly appreciate the professionalism, warmth, and expertise of the entire team. Almost 4 weeks of daily treatments during my stay at Amala Ayurvedic Hospital. I can wholeheartedly recommend this institution. My therapist that accompanied me during this time and all other hospital staff, administration, my doctor, the nurses, are highly experienced, kind, ponctual and patient orientated. Wonderful service from the ladies serving in the Ayurveda canteen and providing room service if desired. Delicious meals prepared by a very good cook. Everywhere highest standard of cleanliness. All of this made my stay remarkable and unforgettable. I will surely return.

Ayurveda treatment for long-lasting relief. The medical team, with Doctors with Master's degrees in the field, identified the root cause of my right shoulder's sudden, debilitating pain developed during my long flight from the US to Cochin. Amala's Ayurveda medical director, Fr. Shibu, accommodated my needs, that too during the Christmas-New Year holiday season. - Check-in process: smooth with the team, Sreeja provided all the inputs even before I arrived. Front office staff with Sandhya provided excellent acclimatization to my new 'living quarters' as I was admitted. - Treatment: I have full functionality of my right arm with the treatment. The various Ayur Veda- 'Science of the ages' processes like Panchakarma etc., were explained by the care team, Dr. Rohit and others and followed up by the Vaidyars who are trained in the Kalari school, ancient martial arts of Kerala. - Stay: wonderful, comfortable room with a view of Amala butterfly gardens, and the herb garden in the backyard. All made it a great place for my 'shin rin roku' forest bathing walks and Zen meditative strolls. -Catholic atmosphere: As a Secular Franciscan and a Catholic, this place provided the atmosphere that healed me in soul, mind, and body. There are plenty of masses to attend with rosary and adoration. I also experienced my native heritage's 'Pindi pernnal', the feast of epiphany. Fr. Shibu led the Rosary and the celebrations. I felt I celebrated my Christmas amongst the large Amala family. Food: Brilliant staff in the 'Harita Cafeteria', notably Preethi, Sheja, Nishma, etc., attended to my specific needs and catered to my food allergies. The food and treatment normalized almost all my fluctuating body parameters. Additionally of note, the well-equipped Heart Hospital, with state-of-the-art MRI and all facilities for diagnosis is a comfort in case of an emergency for patients with cardiac and other conditions.
