I am sharing my experience to raise awareness for other patients visiting Arihant Eye Centre in Sant Nagar, Burari. After my consultation, I was advised to purchase eye drops from a nearby medical store[Tiwari Medicos]. I bought a sodium hyaluronate eye drop for ₹200. Later, I noticed that the product was clearly marked “Physician Sample – Not for Sale,” and I was not provided with a bill at the time of purchase. This situation is concerning because physician samples are not meant to be sold to patients. Many elderly patients visit this clinic daily, and they may not carefully check medicine packaging. Transparency and patient safety should always be the top priority in healthcare. I am not making any direct allegations, but I strongly request the clinic management to ensure that medicines recommended to patients are sold legally and properly, with bills and valid MRP products. I also request the concerned authorities to review this matter in the interest of patient safety. Patients are advised to: Always check the packaging Look for MRP Ensure the product is not marked “Physician Sample – Not for Sale” Ask for a proper bill Healthcare should be built on trust and transparency.
