11,750 on GoogleFor only doctor consultant I wait 3 hours , only reference person will check up first otherwise staff also not listening any consequence. No sequences here, any one have refer they are complete fast. Very worst service. I am not suggesting to any one to come this hospital.
Appalling, dehumanizing experience – this place should not be called a hospital I have been taking my family members to various Agarwal branches in Bangalore, Chennai, and Madurai for years and always found them professional and humane. But the Tirunelveli center has completely shattered my trust. This branch should not even be given the dignity of being called a hospital. My sister was referred here for an eye injury, a serious and traumatic situation. Instead of care and compassion, she was treated with shocking disrespect and insensitivity from start to finish. Dehumanizing attitude: The nurses did not call her by her name, or even by her condition, but casually referred to her as “infection case” to her face. That is not just unprofessional – it is cruel and degrading. Made to stand like an object: She was made to wait for about 1.5 hours, standing outside the reception area near a chappal stand on the third floor. Nobody even bothered to offer her a chair. It felt like they saw her as nothing more than another pair of shoes left outside. Rude treatment even inside OT: Inside the OT, staff spoke to her as if she was an inconvenience. She was told things like, “Madam, why are you coming here, go and stand in that corner with your eyes closed.” This is not medical care – it is harassment. Cataract patients treated like cattle: I watched cataract patients being herded in like slaves, one after another, with zero dignity. After surgery, they were not even properly assisted back out. I saw old people struggling to walk with one eye covered, some nearly tripping because no one cared enough to help them out from OT. Filthy, inhuman ward conditions: The so‑called ward is a dungeon. The smell of urine is overwhelming, the environment is filthy, and yet they have the audacity to charge ₹1500 for it. It’s on the 6th floor, right next to a bathroom and a cafeteria – you can easily check this for yourself. It felt more like a neglected slum than a recovery room in a hospital. Zero ethics, zero responsibility: The overall behavior of the staff was irresponsible, unethical, and at times flat-out cruel. There was no sign of empathy, no basic courtesy, and no sense of duty towards patients who are scared, in pain, and vulnerable. I want to be very clear: I am not criticizing other Agarwal branches. My experiences in Bangalore, Chennai, and Madurai have been positive and professional. But this Tirunelveli branch is a DISGRACE to the name. The people working here desperately need serious training – and frankly, therapy – to even begin to understand how to treat human beings with basic respect. If you care at all about your loved ones, avoid Agarwals Hospital Tirunelveli. This has been one of the most demoralizing and disturbing “healthcare” experiences my family has ever gone through.
My mother went for cataract surgery on April 21st 2026..its very first we moved into agarwal..i had a very good experience..The doctors explained everything clearly and gave me confidence throughout the treatment. The staff were friendly, attentive, and well-organized. Especially the counsellor gowri madam had taken a good care and treat us very politely and kindly. The hospital maintains high standards of cleanliness and patient care. I’m very satisfied and grateful for the service.”
I am R.Subramanian a BSNL Divisional engineer (retired), Age 73, done my cataract surgery at Dr.Agarwal Eye Hospital, Tirunelveli, both eyes Left and right for 2 continous days on April 2026,with out any hindrance nor mental agony,Excellent service right from caretaking women, sisters upto Operating Chief Doctor's team -they are with complete courtesy and technical care taking. Excellent counselling and helping me to choose the correct lenses both economically and comfortably, the entire credit goes to Mr.Manikkam camp manager and madam Gowri counselling department Institutional counsellor. Especially Mr.Manikkam amidst all his camp field works he restored special attention on people like me Aged 73 ,redressing all of my personal difficulties during the preliminary testing and operation days .Madam Gowri seems to be behave one of my closest family members apart from her busy schedules. This is not only my opinion but also felt by all visiting patients. I humbly suggest that the fourth floor waiting hall prior to operations seems cramped and congestive, this is not a big thing to be addressed so far as institution like Dr.Agarwal hospitals. In general all your service are exemplary to my fullest appreciation.
