This is to formally record our extremely unsatisfactory experience at KM Cherian Hospital during two separate admissions within a short span of time. Firstly, my wife was admitted for delivery and remained hospitalized for three days. During this period, the hospital failed to provide basic amenities expected of a medical facility of its advertised standard. Despite paying for the room, there was no rooms for bystanders and we had to wait outside (standing at times) for hours out side the labour room. Finally the room was ready at night 10 PM after 12 Hours wait. In addition to the above, there was no reliable mobile network coverage within the premises, and internet access was not made readily available. Repeated requests for Wi-Fi access were met with delay and unnecessary inconvenience, requiring us to approach multiple staff members without clear guidance. More concerning, however, was the second incident. Six days after discharge, during a routine neonatal check-up, our newborn required admission. Despite the medical urgency involving a newborn child, the hospital was unable to provide a room or proper inpatient accommodation. We waited from approximately 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. seeking room allocation. No single room or standard inpatient room was made available. Instead, we were directed to the daycare unit, only after 10 p.m, where only temporary access to a single bed was provided until 6:00 a.m. The mother, who was in the immediate postpartum recovery period, was compelled to move back and forth every two hours for feeding. This caused significant physical strain and mental distress. It is deeply concerning that a hospital handling maternity and neonatal cases does not have adequate infrastructure, bed capacity, or patient flow management systems to accommodate admitted patients. The repeated inability to provide rooms reflects serious administrative and infrastructure deficiencies. The hospital’s large-scale public advertising creates an expectation of appropriate facilities and patient care standards. However, our experience indicates a substantial gap between representation and actual service delivery. Based on the above incidents, it is my considered opinion that the hospital currently lacks sufficient infrastructure and accommodation capacity to manage its patient intake responsibly. Prospective patients, particularly those seeking maternity and neonatal services, are advised to assess available facilities carefully before opting for this institution.

I was admitted there in the 6th floor under Dr Dona Mary Philip, the gynaecologist, for a major surgery. The hospital stay was superb, felt like I'm with my family. All services rendered were amazing. The way Dr Dona cared me is unforgettable. Hats off to the nursing staff there on the 6th floor and SICU. Kitchen staff and cleaning staff were also very good . They did their job well. Overall, it was a very good experience. Thank you all for keeping the dignity of medical services. God bless you all ❤️

Referred by a relative, we consulted Dr. Jobin, whose extensive experience and clear communication helped us understand my mother's condition and the necessary steps for treatment. He recommended that we see Dr. Amal, an andrologist, due to my mother's high diabetes and blood pressure. Dr. Amal's expertise and guidance were instrumental in stabilizing her sugar levels, allowing us to proceed with the surgery. We also appreciate Mr. Justine, the coordinator, whose professional assistance ensured that all arrangements, from admission to discharge, were handled seamlessly. The nursing staff on the sixth floor provided compassionate care, managing routine check-ups and coordinating with doctors effectively. We are especially thankful to the attendants who safely escorted my mother to the parking area post-discharge, ensuring her comfort. Lastly, we sincerely appreciate Dr. Jobin and his team, along with Justine, for their unwavering support in resolving my mother's knee issues, which had troubled her for six months. For anyone facing similar knee problems, we highly recommend KM Cherian Hospital for orthopaedic treatment, as they blessed with a remarkable team of experienced doctors dedicated to healing.
