1,711 on GoogleI am writing this review with deep concern regarding the hygiene standards and overall patient care approach at Max Super Speciality Hospital Bathinda. This is not written out of anger, but out of responsibility and awareness for other families who place their full trust in this institution during the most vulnerable time of their lives. During our stay, we observed extremely poor hygiene practices, especially concerning airborne isolation precautions. In a hospital setting — particularly in ICU or critical care areas — infection control must be non-negotiable. Unfortunately, airborne isolation protocols did not appear to be strictly followed. There was no consistent monitoring or visible enforcement. In critically ill or immunocompromised patients, even small lapses in infection control can lead to life-threatening complications. Sanitizer dispensers were frequently empty. This is a basic requirement in any healthcare facility. Without accessible sanitizers, how can proper hand hygiene be maintained? Hand hygiene is the foundation of infection prevention, yet there was little awareness or reinforcement among staff and visitors. Environmental cleanliness was also deeply concerning. Walls were visibly dirty, beds and surrounding high-touch surfaces did not appear properly cleaned or disinfected, and routine deep cleaning did not seem consistent. In critical care settings, hygiene should be meticulous, not compromised. Beyond hygiene, I want to speak about something even more important — patient-centered care. Healthcare is not just about machines, reports, or billing. It is about human beings. Patient-centered care means treating the patient as a person, not just a diagnosis. It means involving the family in care discussions, respecting emotional needs, and understanding that healing is not only physical but also emotional and spiritual. Families should be involved in patient care decisions. They should be informed clearly, compassionately, and respectfully. Especially in situations where a patient is critically ill or nearing the end of life, loved ones should be allowed to spend meaningful time with them. Visit hours should be more compassionate and flexible in such circumstances. When someone is on their last journey, their family’s presence is not a disturbance — it is comfort, dignity, and humanity. Being able to hold a hand, speak softly, pray, or simply sit beside a loved one during their final moments is something no hospital policy should unnecessarily restrict. Healthcare should never feel like it is driven primarily by money. Patients and families should not feel that financial aspects overshadow compassion. Please treat patients as human beings first — not as revenue or bed numbers. Hospitals must remember: Strict hygiene and airborne precautions save lives. Cleanliness is not optional — it is essential. Families are partners in care, not outsiders. Compassion should guide policies, especially during end-of-life care. Patient dignity must always come before profit. I sincerely urge the administration to reflect deeply and improve both infection control practices and the culture of care. Because at the end of the day: “The true measure of a hospital is not in its buildings or technology, but in the dignity, safety, and compassion it offers to every patient.” And, “Patients may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel.” I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that future patients and families receive the safe, humane, and compassionate care they deserve.
I had an excellent experience with the Immigration Medical Department at Max Hospital. The entire process was smooth, well-organized, and surprisingly stress-free. The staff was professional, polite, and very cooperative, and they guided me clearly at every step. Appointments were managed efficiently with minimal waiting time, and the doctors and support staff were knowledgeable and reassuring. All tests and documentation were handled properly and on time, which made the whole immigration medical process much easier than expected. I had a fantastic experience during my surgery for cataract and follow up check ups. The staff was very helpful and they assisted me at every step of checkup. Thank you to all the staff members including Dr. Kashish Gupta , Dr. Jaspreet Singh, Mr. Rajwinder Verma, Mr. Sukhjit( facility manager) , Mam Khushi , and many more as I donot know names of the other staff members.
Doctors are great but good part ends here. OPD Front Desk - Short staffed always long lines. At least 30 minutes just to pay and get receipt. Then stand in long queue for doctors, every time it’s 1-to-3 hours of wait time, queues are not being followed. People with approach and connections are considered first. Hygiene issues: Toilets are in terrible condition, no toilet papers, no hand dryers, and toilets are in messy condition, flushes doesn’t work either. I always prefer not to go toilet even if it’s multiple hours wait in the hospital. If you need to go for any scans like MRI, CT, USG .. be prepared to wait for multiple hours (2-3 hours minimum). Do not recommend this hospital unless you do not have any other options.
