Extremely disappointing experience at this Dr. Agarwals clinic. We were called by the receptionist at 2:00 PM, but the doctor did not arrive until 5:30 PM. That’s over three hours of waiting with no clear explanation. The receptionist kept giving incorrect and conflicting information, and when patients questioned the delay, his behavior turned arrogant and rude. He clearly lacks basic patient-handling and soft skills. What made the experience worse was the poor hygiene. Having visited other Dr. Agarwals clinics before, this branch was shocking. The waiting area was dusty, the shoe stand was covered in dust, and there was visible pigeon waste. This is unacceptable for any medical facility. Given this experience, the overwhelmingly positive reviews for this location now feel misleading and possibly written just to boost ratings, as they do not reflect the ground reality at all. This clinic seriously needs better management, trained front-desk staff, and immediate attention to cleanliness and patient communication.

Excellent Experience & Outstanding Care at Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital My name is Mr. Jaannath Thakur. I underwent cataract surgery for both eyes at Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital — left eye on 25/11/2025 and right eye on 12/12/2025. I am extremely happy with the visual outcome. My vision in both eyes is now extremely clear, and the results after surgery are truly life-changing. From the beginning, the hospital services were excellent. The hospital is very clean, well-organized, and patient-friendly. All processes like registration, investigations, surgery planning, and follow-ups were handled smoothly and professionally, making the entire experience stress-free. I would like to specially appreciate my counselor Ranjeet Basaprabhu, who supported me throughout the entire journey. His counseling was detailed, clear, and very reassuring. He explained everything patiently — surgery process, lens options, benefits, costs, and post-operative care — which helped me take confident decisions without any confusion or pressure. His coordination between departments, follow-up reminders, and constant guidance were excellent. Ranjeet’s knowledge about lenses and treatment options was outstanding. His behavior was calm, polite, respectful, and highly professional. He was always approachable and made me feel comfortable and confident at every stage. His communication skills and positive attitude truly reflect high-quality patient care. I am also very thankful to the operative surgeon, Dr. Anand Palimkar, for the successful surgeries and excellent visual results. I would also like to thank the consultant doctor, Dr. Snehal, for her guidance and care during consultations. Overall, my experience at Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital was excellent. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone looking for advanced eye care with professional counseling, excellent coordination, and truly patient-centric service. Based on so many good reviews posted here, we went to this clinic. However, our experience with Om Eye Care / Dr Agrawal Vishrantwadi has been not up to the mark to say the least right from the so called Counselor, insurance advisors to the surgery outcome. We did my mother's cataract surgeries on 01/12/2025 & 13/12/2025. To start with the Counselor first asked me if you have Insurance and then presented me with a bouquet of lenses options (Not sharing the prices but ofcourse they were not very budget friendly). We chose the middle one for which they claimed long and intermediate vision would be corrected and my Mom would need Specs only for near vision. They also indicated that we can get atleast 50k per eye from the Insurance company. (Foolishly, I trusted them and didn't check with the insurance company). Cut to the Surgeries. We were told that the surgeries went brilliantly well. My mother also felt well so we had no concerns. However the insurance company approved me only 40k total for both eyes included (stating their policy terms of a capping of 40k and only one eye per year). I felt misguided and ended up paying almost 1 Lac from my pocket despite having Insurance. My point is how come the Counselor and the Insurance advisor who deal with a minimum of 7-8 surgeries & multiple insurance companies everyday didn't know all of this? They swiftly shifted the blame on me for not having checked with the insurance company. They even charge you for the eye protection black glasses separately 😑 Then comes the most alarming aspect. My mother followed all the precautionary steps prescribed religiously, didn't even watch mobile/TV for more than a month. However, her long distance eyesight didn't seem to correct. We kept mentioning this to the doctor in our followup visits as well but they would simply brush it off and say that it would improve in due course. They even mentioned a 6/6 vision in their report (I have it as an evidence). But when we went to the optical house for making spectacles for near vision, we came to know that he Long distance eyesight is not corrected and she still would need eye glasses for them. When we mentioned this to the doctor they again tried to brush it off stating every patient is different etc etc. After our multiple concerns, they provided distance vision power as well. We truly feel betrayed to some extent. Whatever be the case, wrong expectations should not have been set. And stating the vision is fully corrected was pure dishonesty! After going through all this, surgeries, precautions, my mother still has watery eyes, her vision is not corrected as promised and she still feels shadow on her vision. I candidly shared my experience so that people be more cautious or atleast more aware in their case. Please be very cautious!

Excellent experience at the hospital, from pre-surgical consultation and surgery everything was very smooth and well-managed. The staff was cooperative, supportive, and well-coordinated throughout the process and outcome. Mr. Ranjeet counseler has very strong knowledge of different intraocular lenses, and he explained all lens options clearly, including generic lenses. He explained the condition clearly and checked the patient very patiently. He is settled previous financial bill and adjusted in to current bill. The surgery was successfully done by Dr. Anand, and we are very satisfied with the treatment and outcome. Mr. ranjeet is approachable, and supportive throughout the journey, from OPD consultation to surgery and post-operative guidance to patient. His financial counseling was extremely helpful. He explained the treatment package, insurance coverage, reimbursement process, and overall cost structure transparently. This clarity removed all confusion and made the process stress-free. He was highly knowledgeable about different intraocular lenses and explained all lens options and suitability in a way that was easy to understand. He guided us and helped us make the right decision with confidence. Highly recommended for anyone seeking clear guidance and trustworthy counseling.
