Although I had heard about MVR Cancer Hospital for years, this was my first visit, just to see a patient. The hospital is located a bit inside, and even though bus routes pass through, reaching the place can feel slightly difficult. Once inside, the infrastructure and facilities truly stand out, everything looks modern, well equipped, and professionally maintained. The doctors and staff are efficient, and patient management is systematic and well organised. The premises are clean and well kept, and while the front area gets filled quickly, there is ample paid parking available around the building. The only drawback I noticed was the canteen, which lacked proper management and the food quality was below expectations.

MVR Cancer Centre and Research Institute is widely recognized as one of the premier cancer treatment hospitals in South India. The institute is equipped with highly qualified doctors, state-of-the-art technology, and world-class medical equipment. Spread across a vast, eco-friendly, and meticulously maintained green campus, the centre provides an environment so serene and welcoming that patients and visitors never feel like they are in a hospital. With best-in-class facilities, excellent clinical care, and ample parking space, MVR Cancer Centre stands as a benchmark for quality cancer care and patient-centric service. Obviously treatment is quite expensive, But you can choose the following: 👉🏼Most importantly if you invest 15k in City Cooperative Bank, you get upto 5L insurance coverage here. 👉🏼 MEDISEP and other insurance policies are available

I visited at MVR Hospital for three days as a bystander during my relative’s surgical treatment. The overall ambience and cleanliness of the hospital are good, and the infrastructure is well maintained. The doctors and nursing staff demonstrated a good professional apprach. However, certain hospital policies and their very strict implementation caused considerable hardship to patients and bystanders, especially in unavoidable situations. As per hospital norms, two bystanders are permitted for surgical cases, yet only one small bystander bed and a single pillow were provided. Requests for an additional bed or even a sheet could not be accommodated. When a senior citizen bystander attempted to use a mat brought from a personal vehicle, this was not permitted as per policy. Consequently, two bystanders had to share one small bed for a night, which was extremely uncomfortable. We were not aware of the restriction on entry of children below 11 years. Due to unavoidable circumstances, we arrived with a child, but entry was denied strictly. As we had travelled from a long distance with limited family support, the child and one bystander had to remain near the car porch for an entire day, without access to food facilities, while the remaining bystander managed all admission and procedural formalities alone. While rules are necessary for hospital management, a degree of situational flexibility and empathetic consideration would greatly help families during stressful times. The communication style of some security staff appeared rigid and lacked empathy, which added to the difficulty. Another concern is internal accessibility and emergency preparedness. All staircases are centrally locked and reserved for staff, making elevators the only option for bystanders. At times, waiting several minutes for a lift even to move one floor is inconvenient. More importantly, restricted stair access may pose challenges during emergency situations, and this aspect may require review. Regarding food services, the canteen provides decent food at reasonable prices. However, the front coffee shop charges comparatively high prices for beverages and snacks. Given the rural location and lack of nearby alternatives, patients and bystanders are largely dependent/be forced on hospital facilities, and more reasonable pricing would be appreciated. Conclusion MVR Hospital has good infrastructure and a competent medical and nursing team. However, overly rigid policy enforcement, limited bystander facilities, communication gaps, and accessibility concerns significantly affect the overall experience. A more empathetic and bystander-friendly approach in non-clinical areas would greatly improve satisfaction.

Bad experience all the time. Today we went in daycare for injection under insurance. Already advance cash collected if any delay from insurance, they can use the advance deposit cash and complete the billing process. But every time these departmemt hold the patient( Age 75 ) for the whole day and release after insurance approval. Then what is point of advance cash deposit which is equal to the injecton cost. And the behaviour of the staffs in this department (Front Desk) like military officers!!!!!
