U. N. Mehta Cardiology and Research Institute provides top-class facilities for patients, and we truly appreciate the dedication and efforts of all the doctors and supporting staff. Their service is commendable and highly admirable. However, for the relatives of patients who stay during the course of treatment, it becomes very difficult as some basic facilities are not available. Important needs such as a luggage room, clean and adequate toilets and bathrooms, and a proper waiting area for staying overnight are lacking. I kindly request the management to consider these aspects and take the necessary steps to improve them. This will ensure that not only the patients but also their accompanying relatives can have a comfortable experience while availing of the excellent treatment and services at your institute. Thank you. --- Would you like me to also refine this into Gujarati so you can submit it locally as well?

Do not rely on the ratings, as they are often posted by hospital staff using the mobile phones of the patients' relatives upon admission. The real treatment begins only after that initial stage. This was my experience as well. I lost my family member following a heart valve operation and 10 days in the ICU. During those 10 days, my mother underwent three surgeries. Despite having a planned surgery, I lost her, which gives you an idea of the kind of heart surgery performed. Additionally, four other patients lost their lives during that same period, as I later found out. All patients here are admitted under the Ayushman card. My mother’s fingerprint wasn’t being recognized for the Ayushman card, even though it was active. I contacted the hospital RMO for help, and they told me to either get a nearby post office person with a biometric kit to redo the KYC, or discharge and re-admit the patient after doing the KYC again. They didn't have a retina scan or OTP system to admit patients under the Ayushman card. After three days of trying, I decided to pay for the operation in cash. However, they insisted on using the Ayushman card and sent someone for a last attempt at fingerprint verification. Eventually, her fingerprint was recognized, and the case was registered under the Ayushman card. The doctor recommended CABG and two valve replacements for her. However, after the surgery, only the CABG was done, and the valves were repaired instead of being replaced. When I inquired, they explained that her heart was too weak for valve replacement. My mom was admitted on December 5th and operated on December 13th. So, in those 7 days, they couldn’t analyze her heart condition well enough to determine if valve replacement was possible? Also entire hospital has khatmal(bed bugs) problem. Even after the surgery, her stitches were opened twice more during the 10 days she was in the ICU. I urge you to think carefully before bringing your family member to this hospital for heart surgery.

It's a very worst hospital. It takes more than 25 days for just an report. In these days only 2 reports, that is 2D echo and MRI carried out. But the result of MRI takes 3 days. It's very time consuming hospital where the patient and patient's relatives lost patience and becomes stressful. Very rude behaviour of nurse ( ward no.6). They never understand to be polite even with the patient. Also the cleaning staff and security guards have weird behaviour. Never choose this hospital for the good treatment. It will consume your whole time and patience.
