I am writing to formally raise serious concerns regarding the experience of patient Mita Sarkar (78 years old) at your center. We reached the center at 10:30 AM IST on 20th Feb'26. All basic tests, document checks, and pre-operative procedures were completed only by 4:00 PM IST that to post highlighting to the center manager. There was a complete lack of transparency in patient flow management. No token system exists. The front desk repeatedly asked us to “please sit down, we will call,” with waiting times ranging unpredictably from 30 minutes to over an hour. There was poor coordination between departments. A 78-year-old patient was made to move repeatedly between the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors using the elevator. The staff appeared either understaffed or inefficient in handling the volume of patients for the day. It seems bookings are being taken beyond manageable capacity. There is no defined timeline communicated to patients regarding when procedures and formalities will conclude. As of now, Just received the confirmation call regarding the reporting time for tomorrow’s scheduled operation which is not as per the standards followed in a highly reputed hospital. NOTE: Be prepared for indefinite waiting. Reaching on time does not mean you will finish on time.

Reception and staff are methodical. Take ample time to visit a doctor as the time required for consultation will never be short. The reception is too noisy and patient waiting for their turn are busy with youtube videos much to the annoyance of the others. I particularly have a concern about them making me do the same test twice without even checking and I had to pay for that. Washrooms lack proper maintenance and cleaning. The pharmacy is overwhelming, they charges more than the mrp of medicines. I will suggest buying medicines outside from other medical store where you will at least get a 10% discount.

I had a very pleasant experience at Centre For Sight, AJC Bose Road. The hospital is clean, well-organized, and equipped with modern technology. The staff members are polite, helpful, and ensure a smooth process from registration to consultation. A special thanks to Dr. Sourav Gupta for his excellent care and professionalism. He explained my condition very clearly and guided me through the treatment with patience and confidence. His friendly approach made me feel comfortable throughout. Overall, I am very satisfied with the treatment and services provided. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality eye care in Kolkata.

Most useless hospital. First of all, they’ve opened a hospital in Bengal, yet if you call their landline, people speaking every language except Bengali are available. Secondly, they don’t take appointments without email. Even if you call 2-3 days in advance to book, they always say there are no slots available. If you absolutely have to see a doctor for an emergency, you’ll have to pay a much higher extra fee for it. Can someone please explain how people from villages are supposed to book appointments by email? Even when they call, and even if they’re old patients, they just refuse to book an appointment. According to them, slots are only free 2-3 weeks later, “Come then.” I’m telling the truth. I’ll never come here for treatment again, and I’ll tell my family not to come here either. Their service is absolutely pathetic.
