Very rude doctor. My eye (cornea) got injured and he taped it from outside and I suffered with pain for many days. I told him but he did not bother. Later went to another doctor who suggested bandage lens (as eye movement will happen whether u want or not) and then only I got full relief. How come Viral Shah knew nothing about bandage lens and instead taped my eye from outside for internal injury???

He doesn’t provide enough details about the patient and he seemed irritated when I pressed for more information. Go to him only if you don’t have any other options.

I had a very disappointing experience with Ophthalmology consultation at this clinic. My fiancée was dealing with Conjunctivitis, and despite multiple visits over nearly 25 days, her condition did not improve as expected. In our experience, the consultations felt very rushed and we did not receive the level of attention or explanation we were hoping for. It also felt like the focus was more on consultation fees rather than thoroughly addressing the patient’s concerns. This was our personal experience, and based on it we would recommend others carefully consider their options before choosing this clinic.

I recently visited Dr. Viral Shah because I had conjunctivitis. My treatment there took almost 25 days, and even then my condition was not improving properly. At the clinic, there are many assistants who did not seem properly trained, and the doctor himself hardly gives any time to patients. Because there is always a big crowd, he simply writes medicines and sends the patient out without explaining anything about the condition or treatment. Later, my mother also got the same infection, so I took her to the same doctor. Without properly checking her eyes, he gave her exactly the same medicines that were prescribed to me. When we tried to ask questions, he responded in an irritated manner. After that we decided to visit another eye doctor for a second opinion. The second doctor carefully examined my mother and explained that she had membranous conjunctivitis, where a membrane forms on the eye and needs to be removed; otherwise the medicine cannot work properly. After proper treatment, my mother recovered within just 3 days. Another concerning issue was the cost of treatment. The consultation fee at this clinic was ₹300, and the medicines cost around ₹600–₹700 each time, so every visit was nearly ₹1000. However, the second doctor charged ₹250 consultation, and the medicines cost only ₹33, and he spent almost 30 minutes explaining everything clearly — what the problem was, precautions to take, and how to care for the eyes. Because my infection took 25 days to recover, I had to take many days off from my new job, where eye use is essential. Unfortunately, I was not able to continue working due to my condition and had to leave my job, and I am currently unemployed. After reading Google reviews and speaking with family and friends, I realized many others have also had negative experiences with this doctor. My suggestion to others is to always take a second opinion, especially for eye problems. Personally, based on my experience, I would not recommend visiting this doctor, and I would strongly advise people to be cautious and avoid surgical procedures there.
