I am writing this review to express my disappointment and frustration with the extremely slow and unprofessional service experienced at Suburban Diagnostics, Pune. This feedback is not written out of anger, but out of genuine concern for how patients’ time, comfort, and trust are being handled at your diagnostic center. We were given a confirmed appointment for 11:30 AM. Based on this appointment time, we planned our day accordingly, assuming that the process would be reasonably smooth and time-bound, especially considering that diagnostic tests often involve patients who may already be unwell, anxious, or physically uncomfortable. Unfortunately, even after reaching on time, we were made to wait far beyond what can be considered acceptable. As of 12:30 PM, it had already been one full hour past the scheduled appointment, and the test had still not begun. During this entire waiting period, we were repeatedly told the same thing — “Just five more minutes.” This response was given multiple times, by different staff members, over a long duration. While the staff spoke politely and maintained a calm tone, the repeated false assurances only added to the frustration. Saying “five minutes” again and again for over an hour reflects poor coordination, lack of transparency, and mismanagement of time. What makes the situation even more disappointing is that by the end of this waiting period, the diagnostic center was almost empty. There was no visible rush, no crowd, and no obvious reason for such an extensive delay. This raises serious questions about internal processes, workflow efficiency, and responsibility toward patients. If there were unavoidable delays, the least that could have been done was to communicate honestly and clearly instead of continuously giving misleading timelines. In a city like Pune, where people manage demanding work schedules, family responsibilities, and health concerns simultaneously, time is extremely valuable. Patients come to diagnostic centers expecting professionalism, punctuality, and respect for their appointment slots. Long waiting times without proper explanation show a lack of empathy toward patients who may be fasting, elderly, in pain, or mentally stressed due to health issues. While I appreciate that the staff members were polite in their communication, politeness alone does not compensate for inefficiency. Being kind in words but careless with time still results in a poor patient experience. Diagnostics is not just a service industry—it is a critical part of healthcare, where delays can directly impact a person’s physical and emotional well-being. Another concerning aspect is the absence of accountability. There was no senior staff member available to explain the delay, no proactive update, and no attempt to manage expectations realistically. A simple acknowledgment such as, “There is a delay of 30–40 minutes due to internal reasons,” would have at least allowed patients to make informed decisions. Instead, vague reassurances were given repeatedly, which only wasted more time and increased irritation. This feedback is shared with the hope that the management will take it seriously and review the operational efficiency of the Pune center. Improvements are clearly needed in appointment management, internal communication, and accountability. Patients should not be made to feel helpless, ignored, or misled, especially in a healthcare setting. In conclusion, while the staff’s behavior was courteous, the overall experience was extremely disappointing due to excessive delays, lack of clear communication, slow service, and poor time management. I sincerely hope that Suburban Diagnostics takes corrective action so that no other patient has to go through a similar experience in the future. Healthcare is built on trust, and trust begins with respect for the patient’s time.
