1/5 Worst Experience, Not Recommended I visited this scanning centre today with my mother for a USG abdomen, and it was one of the most disappointing healthcare experiences ever. The hygiene and cleanliness were terrible , the washroom looked like an unmaintained public toilet, which is absolutely unacceptable in a hospital premises / healthcare sector . After asking patients to drink a lot of water, they made everyone wait endlessly without proper time management. Many patients were struggling to hold urine, yet there was no system, no priority, and no responsibility from the staff. The staff behaviour was also rude and completely unprofessional. This was our first visit because the doctor suggested this place, but it will definitely be our last. I do not recommend this centre to anyone. If you want proper service, cleanliness, and timely scanning, please choose a better scanning centre nearby. This place seriously needs improvement in hygiene, staff behaviour, and patient flow management.

A Frustrating Experience at Travancore Scans for a Simple Insurance Checkup If you're heading to Travancore Scans in Trivandrum for a pre-insurance medical exam, especially one that requires fasting, brace yourself—it can turn into a long, exhausting ordeal. I showed up on November 22, 2025, at 8:30 AM, right on time for my PNB MetLife Term Insurance checkup, booked through MediBuddy via SMS and a confirmation call. The place was packed from the start, with 10-15 people ahead of me in line, and another 15-20 arriving soon after, including folks there for pre-employment screenings that included ultrasound scans. The staff jotted down names and phone numbers on a scrap of paper, promising to call us early since so many were fasting on empty stomachs. But with just one person handling all blood collections, the wait dragged on for over 2 hours to reach the collection spot—something that usually takes 3-4 minutes. By 10:30 AM (after 2 hours), it was finally my turn, but things got worse: they wiped my arm with a dry cotton ball, no alcohol swab in sight nearby. I had to insist before they fetched a spirit bottle from another floor and properly soaked the cotton. On top of that, they used basic syringes to draw blood instead of the standard vacutainers you see in most modern labs, which felt outdated and concerning for hygiene standards. Then came the paperwork—a form I needed to fill out—but no pen was provided, and no one mentioned bringing one ahead of time. Exhausted and hungry after fasting so long, I stepped out to buy a pen from a nearby shop, gave my blood sample, and decided to head home to recover before returning at noon for the ECG to wrap things up. I came again; it again took 30 minutes ( which was reasonable). They had to take a photo of me, to process the application. The next day they again called me and requested to send a photo, as they missed the first one! Overall, this was a messy experience that left me drained, and it's clear that company-tied health checkups here, particularly fasting ones, need better organisation and resources. I urge MediBuddy and insurance providers like PNB MetLife to partner with more efficient labs going forward. If you must go, come super prepared—pack your own pen, snacks for after, and plenty of patience to avoid the hassle. #PNBMetLife

I had an MRI appointment scheduled at 10:30 PM. When I reached the centre, I was informed that an emergency case had come in and I would need to wait for 1 hour. I understood the situation and waited patiently. However, even after 2 hours, there was no update. When I went to enquire again, I was told once more to wait for another 1 hour. This was very disappointing, especially since no proper explanation or clear timeline was provided. The response from the staff was also not courteous or reassuring. While emergency cases are understandable, better communication and respectful behaviour toward patients with prior appointments is expected. Overall, my experience was unsatisfactory due to long delays and poor customer service

Please Fix Wait Times Had to wait almost 4 hours for a test that only took 10 minutes. When we asked about the wait, the front desk kept saying "just 15 more minutes." We were even told to wait right by the scanning area, making us think it was our turn soon, but we ended up waiting much, much longer. Since this center is near the Medical College, there are so many people coming in, but the management of these incoming people seems very poor. It would be great if the owner could set up a better system for knowing how long people will wait. People's time matters.
