Very Poor and Unsatisfactory Experience. Our experience at Balaji Hospital was extremely disappointing. The patient was admitted around 11 AM, but even after admission, basic care was not taken properly. Medicines were not given on time. We had to repeatedly call the nurses (sisters) again and again for scheduled medicines, which is unacceptable for a hospitalized patient. We requested a pillow and blanket soon after admission, but the staff (mausi) was completely unresponsive and casually said there were no pillows available and that blankets were not washed. Shockingly, the pillow and blanket were provided only in the evening, after waiting the whole day. The water jug had no lid and remained open throughout the day and night, showing a complete lack of hygiene and basic patient care standards. At the time of discharge, the person at the reception handed me the discharge form along with a feedback form and told me to write the patient’s name, sign it, and give it back to him. When I told him clearly that it was a feedback form and I would fill it myself, he still insisted on taking it back and even tried to hold it. I had to step back and firmly say that I would fill it honestly and then sign it. Only then did he let go. I filled the feedback form with the complete truth, but honestly, I’m not even sure whether it will actually reach the feedback department or end up in the dustbin. Overall, the service at Balaji Hospital was very poor, careless, and unhygienic. The hospital felt more like a government hospital with poor maintenance, not a private healthcare facility. This is not the level of care anyone expects when admitting a patient. Not recommended at all.

Dr. Salman Patel, an Opthalmic surgeon (Eye) at Balaji hospital, Byculla East, is a polite, humble and kind hearted person with great pair of hands in Cure. A retired Opthalmic surgeon from Ram Krishna Mission Hospital, Khar West, now at Virgo Optics, Khar West, recommended me to operate my Mom's left eye cataract from the same doctor who had operated my Mom's right eye cataract because he said his hand is good and that was my Hero Dr. Salman Patel. I will pray to Allah for his sound health, abundant wealth, and long peaceful life till my last breath, Aameen

The entry to this hospital is a 50-metre long lane. Cars can pass by this lane. The hospital staff and the doctors are very dedicated to their work, are pleasant and are courteous. I admire their sense of working and salute to their efforts. The prices are affordable. Since it is an old hospital, it still has its charm and beauty in its own way! There is a beautiful garden in its premises and its surrounding areas with flowering plants and trees. Looking at the greenery around will make one happy, so hoping if they can increase more green spaces if it's possible.
