After delivery, my twin daughters were shifted to the Neaonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at the same hospital. One daughter was in the ICU for 5 days and the other for 20 days. My daughter was facing some serious issue Dr. Ambuj Tripathi,number one pediatrician in Prayagraj, treated both of my daughters. Whereas the staff in NICU are well trained and experienced to perfection. I would specially thanks to the owner of the hospital Dr Ajay Shukla who helped a lot during my tough times. One thing i liked about Dr Ajay is that he is concerned about every patients walking in his hospital....thanks to shanti vilas team.

We had a very bad experience at Shanti Vilash Hospital. Two months ago, on the recommendation of a consulting gynecologist, we chose this hospital for our child’s birth. Immediately after delivery, the pediatric doctor claimed that my baby was not breathing and not crying and urgently took the baby to the NICU. However, as soon as the baby was placed on the NICU bed, he started crying loudly. The doctor then said that the baby was crying now but had not cried earlier. Still, he insisted on keeping the baby under 24-hour observation. As a worried father, I trusted the doctor. The next day, the doctor said the baby was completely fine, yet asked to continue NICU observation for another 24 hours. This continued for four days. Every day we were told the baby was normal, but NICU stay was extended, and we were charged high daily NICU fees. Later, after speaking privately with hospital staff, I was informed that there was no serious medical issue. The doctor himself later admitted that the baby had been off oxygen and stable, yet still insisted on keeping the baby in NICU. When I questioned the extra charges beyond the delivery package, the gynecologist who referred us asked me to speak with the hospital manager (Mr. Singh), but even she appeared unable to stop this unnecessary billing. When I finally requested discharge, I was asked to sign a declaration stating that I was taking my baby at my own risk, despite the baby being healthy. Most concerning, I personally witnessed the doctor instructing a trainee inside the NICU to make the baby on oxygen ,unaware that I was watching through the transparent glass door. This experience felt like unnecessary NICU admission and financial exploitation of worried parents. I strongly do not recommend Shanti Vilash Hospital. Parents should be very cautious and ask clear questions before agreeing to NICU admission.
