This is about Tower 1, which houses the main Reception. There is no air curtain, so one is continuously pestered by flies. Some of the seating is very low, difficult for Cancer-debilitated & elderly patients to sit & get up from. There is no electronic announcement board to call patients. Public address is only used to call out wrongly parked vehicles. There is always some renovation work going on. There is a nice Art gallery opposite, in the far end, which adds cheer. There is a canteen just above, connect with an erratically functioning escalator.Timings are late 0730 am +.Fasting patients often finish tests by 0630 am.I chose to go outside. The sad part that a lot of important instructions for follow up patients proceeding for receiving isotopes for diagnosis & follow-up & are not given clearly, completely & there are no written instructions. We are a multi- lingual state with minimum 5+ languages spoken frequently, where as many staff don't speak all of these 5. Though there a lot of the less privileged people receiving reasonable quality treatment, a lot is to be desired. Quality of Care should not be dependent on the moods & whims of the Staff. It should be inbuilt into the diagnostic & treatment protocols. Doctors also do not think it is necessary to discus follow up protocols & why, they just dictate it. Patients are considered half- brained and incapable of understanding Nuclear Medicine. A good doctor is one who can come down to a patient's intellectual level, which varies a lot & still instill why he is asked to do these tests & follow up.Counsellors can do the routine instructions job. A unconvinced, unmotivated patient may default on follow up, due to lack of symptoms & subsequently suffer the consequences. A lot of miles to cover.

I have been coming to HCG for my Mother's treatment for the last two year. We are extremely happy with the hospital. Dr Vishal Rao and Dr Shalini's skill and most importantly the way they interact with patients is one of the best. The attention and care provided to my mother has been exceptional. We have had very positive experience with all her other doctors as well.

We would like to sincerely thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff members of HCG Hospital, for the care and support given to us during our treatment. From the moment we arrived at the hospital, everyone treated us with kindness, patience, and care, making us feel comfortable and supported like family. Whenever we had any doubts or questions, the doctors and staff were always there to guide us politely and patiently at any time. The facilities and overall care provided by the hospital were very good. During our stay in the BMT room, we received constant support and attention from the medical team, and every effort was made to ensure the patient was comfortable and well cared for throughout the treatment. We are also especially thankful to the radiation department team for their patience, understanding, and the gentle way they handled the patient during every session. Their caring nature and positive approach gave us a lot of strength during this difficult time. Now that the treatment has been completed successfully, we truly feel grateful to each and every doctor, nurse, and staff member who stood by us throughout this journey. By God’s grace and through all your efforts, care, and blessings, everything went well. Thank you Dr. Intezar and team once again for all the support, care, and kindness shown to us. We will always remember it with gratitude.

(I am writing this review in a bit hurry. Will expand later) Dr. Nataraj & Team — Haemato-Oncology & BMT Drs Roshan, Yashaswini, Ashwini Veena Ma'am, Kaushal A haematological cancer diagnosis lands differently from most. The treatment is long, the uncertainty is profound, and the relationship with the clinical team becomes, over time, one of the most consequential relationships in a patient's life. It is in this context that Dr. Nataraj and his team distinguishes itself. His command of the clinical picture is immediately evident — he explains complex treatment protocols in plain language, is careful never to overwhelm. Veena Ma'am is easily most helpful and busiest person in the team. Thanks ma'am. Kaushal too is equally busy, often taking my calls, following up on those and responding asap. I really appreciate his commitment to work. BMT staff: Not many words can describe the commitment, empathy and adherence to protocols the BMT staff has. They looked after my mom like their own. THANK YOU. That said there are a few cons as well. First and foremost is proving structure. HGC is easily an expensive hospital, though one needs to realise that a vast majority of money spent actually goes towards medications. Another con, slept a small one on dependence of papers and lack of automation. (I'll update this review in the days to come)
