Great experience. Been there two times in May 2019, so far so good. Staffs are experienced and caring. Insaw couple of staffs offering very good care to old ladies and aged couples. Specialist doctor Mr. Devin is great, and eye sight testing techician (optometric staff Mr. Chandran ) is awesome.

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND NOT CHILD FRIENDLY. Visited some months back with my toddler.I was shocked when the doctor insisted I hold my 3-year-old’s hands behind her back “at all times” just to prevent her from touching the equipment, as if the machinery mattered more than the child’s comfort. The doctor showed no willingness to explain things to me —he was rushing for the next patient, they sent me and my child out babbling something. I waited and went to his room again to ask more details about my toddler's condition, he didn't even allow me to even sit while he spoke. They care about business only. No empathy at all. The eye testing process was equally disappointing. They assigned students to handle it, who were clearly inexperienced and distracted, chatting among themselves instead of focusing on my child. With a toddler who rarely looks where asked, they missed every opportunity to capture proper readings. They should train the staff, the Doctors should get trained on empathy and patient care altogether. If you’re paying for private care expecting patience, professionalism, and a supportive environment, this is absolutely not the place to go. Reply to Hospitals response: I appreciate the detailed explanation provided and Dr. Devin Prabhakar’s empathetic words. As a mother, I would not change what I felt in that moment when I was asked to restrain my child, especially given the tone in which it was conveyed and I was even reminded of the cost of the machine at that time, which only added to my discomfort. Also, I requested to keep her hands on the front side, with my hands covering hers. But It was not allowed. Even if it is own Mother's touch, a toddler will not find it comforting. Recently I visited another hospital, where the Doctor's assisants distracted her with toys on both the sides and she sat perfectly still and they were able to get her do all the procedures the way they wants. If the examinations are conducted by qualified technicians rather than students, this particular exam was taken with an equipment held by person standing, surrounded by a group of students/techs. We were told to sit and the baby on my lap had to look at that. But as they were busy chatting among themselves, they tend to move and missed whenever she looked onto the handheld machine. I believe they should be trained to maintain a calm and professional environment. Continuous chatter during a child’s examination makes it harder for the child to focus, and the reading was not captured easily. I also feel that while issuing a large number of OP tickets per day is commendable, it loses meaning if worried parents or bystanders are not given even a brief moment of reassurance. When I was waiting outside, no one informed me that I could request a Zoom call or phone slot for a minute with the doctor. This lack of communication sets a poor precedent. Also, if we have to take another appointment just to talk to the Dr about what is next, I think this hospital is not my family's cup of tea. My feedback is not to diminish the effort of the team but to highlight areas where empathy and professionalism can be strengthened. A calm environment, clear communication, and reassurance go a long way in easing the anxiety of parents and ensuring the best experience for children.
