I came here on 15th November. I am now admitted here for Supportive treatment under Dr. Himika Mukhopadhyay whose behaviour is just very good. Staffs are really well mannered and good management. I am doing much better than before. Unlike other hospitals this one is very caring and supportive towards the patients
My patient is doing very well under the treatment of Dr. Rajiv Lochan Jena. My patient is leading a good life. I love the way all the management behaves. The People are so so supportive. Now they all are like my family members
I stay in Bangalore. My in-laws place is Kolkata. My father in law(FIL) was diagnosed with cancer. Based on recommendations from our friends, we took him to NCRI. We did not know anyone there. We were assigned to Dr. Poulomi Basu. She and her team conducted various tests for almost 2 weeks before starting any sort of chemo therapy. Due to this delay the cancer had already spready all over vitals resulting in beyond recovery. From the very beginning before we even came to NCRI, the cancer cells were spreading fast. We expected a prompt attention and treatment, but that di not happen. On 2nd December 2025, Dr. Poulomi Basu discharged the patient advising oral chemo and asked us to take the patient home and provide medicines. Upon enquiry multiple times we were not informed that the condition of patient was extremely serious. On 19th December, 2025 my FIL passed away. There are behavioral issues with the doctor. She had addressed my FIL as "lokta" on 2 occasions. I didn't react. My patient's life was at stake. Those of you who are yet to decide whether you would want to take your patient to NCRI, remember ONE THING, THIS IS A RESEARCH CENTRE. They would first conduct various research instead of straight forward treatment which is sometimes extremely essential from day one. However I have no complaints against the nurses or other members of the hospital. In fact the gentleman in finance was kind enough to offer me discount of Rs. 25k on the total bill, which was helpful. If you stay nearby Garia and you know what treatment you are doing, you can use their facilities. Eg Taking chemo, many patients avail this facility, come in the morning take chemo and leave, thus availing the cost effective service of NCRI.
I came here for my grandma for some significant tests and i was just shocked to see such cooperation from all the departments. I have been to many places but this level of hospitality i have never experienced. Doctors are super nice and down to earth. During any kind of emergencies they picked up my calls immediately. I can never forget how the doctors coordinated with me during my emergencies. The management's behavior is also very nice. They are not only sympathetic towards my patient but also empathetic towards them. Cancer patients need mental strength too which was provided by them continuously. I would like to thank all the faculties that today i am home with my grandma happily living a normal life.
I came on 12th April. And my second chemotherapy started. I was feeling better. I consulted Dr. Mukhopadhyay and she is really very supportive and kind and great management services and all staff behaviour. i recommend all cancer patients to come and get well soon
